We are super excited to watch the campaign unfold. Mitch, from Penny for a Tail, is running the game for an all-star lineup, so we get to sit back and just watch the action. Mitch is an extremely experienced streaming GM, so look forward to having the chat involved with the game as well as awesome give-aways during the game!

Brain Health Update: Colin's (my) health is doing pretty well these days. It was a big slog to sort through insurance and getting appointments scheduled, but I have my MRI scheduled for November 6 and will be meeting with a neurologist on Nov 10 to discuss the results/plan for the future. Shifting from "emergency" to "ambulatory" care is a good thing, but slows everything way down. I'm excited to see how my brain is looking these days and move towards a proper diagnosis. As part of my post-hospital recovery, I decided to get myself a few new orchids. I've collected orchids for the last 10+ years, but I haven't bought any new ones for myself in about 4 years. I got a Oncidium Sharry Baby (my personal favorite orchid), Oncidium Tsiku Marguerite, and a Paphiopedilum Maudiae Lady Slipper.

Orchid and other plant in-door grow setup at Colin's apartment in Chicago. The new orchids are in the black, square pots.

Thank you all for the support and hope to see you on Thursday at the kick off of the campaign!

Post-campaign Week 4 Update - let's talk Cyberpunk!
over 3 years ago – Sat, Oct 03, 2020 at 03:11:26 PM

Hi friends!

Thank you all so much for you kind, supportive words on our last update - we super appreciated them! So far things are cautiously going alright with Colin (me). I've been spending a lot of time recovering from the seizure and the hospital trip. We're waiting on the next round of tests to see how the brain lesion changes over time. So far, no new seizure activity, which is a good sign. We'll see what happens and keep you in the loop. Thanks again for all the positive energy!

We have been chipping away at Axon Punk and doing some fun work while we can. For example, this week both Wrong Brothers got to be on a really cool "Talking Cyberpunk" panel held by Mildra, the Gaming Monk. The panel included Mark Everglade, who is a cyberpunk author and spearhead of "Cyberpunk Day" (coming 10102020), as well as Optimistic Chad from Fraggin Unicorns Games , who recently wrapped up Gangs of the Undercity. Check out the video below, and join us in the Monastery to talk about fun things like "What is cyberpunk?", "What makes something 'punk'?", "What would a frontier *punk game/story be like?", and more. It was really fun to bring up old experiences from Cameron and Colin's youth as grimy skater punks, as well as talk serious cyberpunk literature with the other guests.

Thanks again, Mildra, for having us on and doing such a great job as a moderator! You brought some really cool and thought-provoking questions. We look forward to doing more with him at the Monastery.

Have a good week and we'll see you on Cyberpunk Day next Saturday (10/10/2020)!

Best,

Post-campaign Week 3 Update - unexpected Cyberpunk field research
over 3 years ago – Thu, Sep 17, 2020 at 09:17:20 PM

Hello friends!

Some of you might have heard, but we ended up having some unexpected cyberpunk field research on the Axon Punk team over the last few days. Our lead designer/writer, Colin, had to go to the hospital for a few days, but he's home and doing alright.

Details: I had a bad seizure on Sunday night that lasted over 10 minutes. Thankfully, both of my roommates were total all stars and took great care of me - calling 911 and making sure that I had everything I needed. I don't remember it and just woke up in the Trauma Ward a few hours later with no idea what happened. Apparently there were 6 EMTs and 2 firefighters in our apartment.

CT and MRI scans found what looks like a lesion in my right temporal lobe. They did a spinal tap on me and know it's not an infection (now I know *exactly* what it feels like having your central nervous system tapped into). They haven't ruled out a tumor yet, but decided not to do a brain biopsy on me yesterday after my spinal fluid came back so clean. The plan is to reassess in 2-3 weeks and see how things are looking. I was 100% ready for them to drill a hole in my skull though. It is for the better that they didn't operate and we'll see what happens with more tests.

Dry-link Electrodes on my head from the EEG.

Because I'm a giant nerd, I talked to the nurses and techs giving me the brain tests about Axon Punk. The tech that gave me the brain EEG is definitely getting a digital copy of the game. I'm looking forward to hearing what she thinks - she was into the game and I got bonus points for actually falling asleep during the test.

Full EEG electrode arrangement.

Either way, I'm doing alright. I have a much deeper appreciation for Regan (Linda Blair) from the Exorcist, because they put me through the updated battery of tests that she did. However, when they looked at my temporal lobe, they actually found something on the CT scans. Didn't think I could like that movie more than I already did, but here we are. I made my roommates watch it with me the night I came home from the hospital and it made me extremely happy.

Thanks so much for everything everyone! I'm safe as can be. I'm going to take my time recovering and sorting this out, but if anything, this just adds more cyberpunk fuel to the fire. Let us know if you have any questions and we'll keep you updated!

Post-campaign Week 2 Update - BackerKit "Pre-order" Page Ready!
over 3 years ago – Wed, Sep 09, 2020 at 03:14:35 PM

Hello backers!

Best wishes from the dystopian megacities of 2085! We've had a productive week at WBG working on Axon Punk. For one, we have successfully launched our "Pre-order Store" through BackerKit, which is one of the first big steps for getting you your rewards!

For the moment, the "Pre-order Store" allows people who missed the Kickstarter to still get in on the first round of Axon Punk: Expanded! So, if you had any friends that missed the Kickstarter, send them this link to our BackerKit page! This is a big step, so give it a share for us on social media too!

What our Pre-order store looks like on BackerKit!

Setting up BackerKit is an important step because it allows us to create awesome Add-ons that you can choose to include in your Axon Punk: Expanded reward. We will have more details about exactly what those Add-ons will be, but we are totally open to suggestions! What kind of Axon Punk swag would you like to see? T-shirts? United Church of Tupac Stickers? Brass Knuckles with "A*X*O*N P*U*N*K" spelled out on them? Custom dice and dice bags? Shoot us a message with what you'd like!

Thanks and have a good rest of your week!

Wrong Brothers Gaming
